Since I’ll be doing a good deal of driving in the near future, I decided to iPod my 2003 Subaru Legacy wagon. Little did I know, this is a task easier said than done. As follows are the trials I went through and the final results.
Yup, my iPod crashed. I was happily listening while doing some work in the front yard when my playlist ended. Through my pocket, I press the play button again, not willing to get my silicon iPod casing all dusty and dirty (that thing attracts dirt). Nothing came through. I shrugged and got on with my work. When I came inside and took the iPod out of my pocket, I saw the screen shown above. It’s still like that, and nothing seems to affect it. The following is a list of things I’ve tried.
None of the above had any effect on the iPod whatsoever. I suppose I’ll wait for the batteries to drain or something, then see if it’ll come back.
Update (20 minutes later): Following the directions on Apple’s iPod support article, I was able to recover the iPod. Thanks to Lina for the link.
